Invoice Generator
Generate sample invoices — line items, tax, and totals — for testing billing pages, PDF exports, and invoicing UIs.
Why fictional invoices?
Building or testing an invoicing flow — a billing dashboard, a PDF export, an email template — needs documents that look real without touching an actual customer or a real transaction. Every invoice here is generated fresh in your browser, with a realistic invoice number, dates, addresses, and line items that add up correctly.
What's included
- Header — invoice number, issue date, and due date based on payment terms.
- Parties — a fictional issuing business and billing client, each with an address.
- Line items — description, quantity, and unit price, with a running total.
- Totals — subtotal, tax at your chosen rate, and a grand total.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a real invoice or billing document?
No. Every field — invoice number, dates, addresses, line items, and totals — is generated on the spot from fictional data. It's meant for testing and mockups, not for billing anyone.
Can I customize the currency and tax rate?
Yes — pick USD, EUR, or GBP, and choose a tax rate from 0% to 20%. The subtotal, tax, and total all recalculate to match.
What can I export?
Switch between a formatted invoice preview and a raw JSON view, then copy or download either one — the JSON includes the computed subtotal, tax, and total.
Does it recalculate totals automatically?
Yes. Changing the number of line items, currency, or tax rate and regenerating rebuilds the line items and recomputes the subtotal, tax, and total for you.
Can I change the payment terms?
Yes — choose Net 14 or Net 30 and the due date is calculated from the issue date accordingly.
