<meta name="twitter:site" content="@dummycontent">Why preview meta tags before shipping?
A title that's a few characters too long gets truncated with an ellipsis in Google. A missing og:image means a blank gray box when a link is shared on Slack or social media. These are easy mistakes to make writing meta tags blind, and easy to catch when you can see the actual result before you deploy.
What's included
- Core SEO — title, description, canonical URL, and robots directive.
- Open Graph — the tags Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, and most link previews read.
- Twitter Card — a large-image summary card for X/Twitter shares.
Frequently asked questions
What tags does this generate?
A <title> and meta description, a canonical link, a robots directive, Open Graph tags (title, description, url, image, site name), and Twitter Card tags — the full set most sites need for search and social sharing.
Why does it show a Google search result and a social card preview?
Meta tags are invisible until something renders them — a search engine or a social platform. Previewing both live makes it obvious when a title is too long, a description gets cut off, or an image is missing, before you ship it.
What does the noindex option do?
It swaps the robots meta tag to "noindex, nofollow", telling search engines not to index the page — useful for staging, internal, or test pages you don't want appearing in search results.
Can I use this for a real page?
Yes — the output is standard, valid HTML meta tags with no placeholder branding baked in. Fill in your own title, description, URL, and image, then paste the result into your page's <head>.
